Jessica Lu has big dreams
My first design teacher told me “You can’t break the rules without knowing them first.”
So, I’m hard at work at the University of Waterloo, learning the rules of design through my program GBDA with a minor in Technical Writing.
With my feet firmly planted in the empathy and function of UX design, I create from a foundation that allows visual identity to be bold. I aim to understand what’s needed, and then turn it on its head.
My goal as a designer is to make others question “why shouldn’t I make something like that?”
